Gettin' drunk in Altamonte (oh hell yeah!)

Why drive all the way downtown when Altamonte has plenty of sorta-crummy spots that do the job just fine?

    Thirsty Whale Pub - 4

230 Wymore Road - Altamonte Springs

With dirty darkness, cheap beer, and darts, Thirsty Whale knows you only love them for their diveyness, and they're okay with that. Also, you may get into a fight, and what's more existential than getting into a bar brawl in Altamonte?

Kiwi's is as relieving as Nuprin. Little. Aussie. Different.

Well the prices may be a little high, but you'll come no closer to feeling like you're in an authentic English anywhere else in Altamonte. Or Orlando, for that matter. And you can order a scotch egg and gross out your friends!

    Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill

    Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill - 2

    1022 W. State Road 436 - Altamonte Springs

It's big, there are darts, and your game's likely to be on one of the many televisions, and of course there's the dreamy, dreamy food. And I'm pretty sure you can still smoke there while cold-cocking your heart with fried mozzarella sticks.

    Miller's Orlando Ale House - 5

    477 E. Altamonte Drive - Altamonte Springs

Feeling shallow? Like crowds? Looking to hook up with a frat boy or his aged business man counterpart? Ohhh yes, you CAN get drunk at the Ale House, but you're gonna hate yourself in the morning (and whoever it is you brought into bed with you).

    Timmy Mack's

And top your night off with a trip to Timmy Mack's. It's big but simultaneously cramped, but the taps are stellar and the game "mezzanine" is a great spot to display your macho skills at Golden Tee. And the prices aren't half bad either!
