If I had to eat at chain restaurants for the rest of my life...
I would go on the Mary-Kate Olsen diet. Just kidding, here's some chain restaurants that don't suck.

Don Pablo's -
8161 Honeygo Blvd. - White Marsh
Report this commentPretty fresh Tex-Mex for a chain joint. Probably the best chain restaurant if you're tastes are leading you south of the border. Oh yea, good selection of Central American brews too (try a Bohemia).

Sakura Japanese Steak & Seafood House -
10040 Baltimore National Pike - Ellicott City
Report this commentMe love them long time. Not only is the food really good, but nothing beats the reassuring satisfaction of watching your chef cook the food in front of you. No more wondering if that's Fromunda' cheese in your Teriyaki chicken!

The Greene Turtle -
408 York Road - Towson
Report this commentNot only is this a good place to get smashed and lay your mack down, but the food is not half bad! Very Maryland-centric cuisine, pretty much every dish has a variation featuring crab meat. Go figure. Maryland cuisine gets type-casted more than that kid from Napoleon Dynamite, gosh!

Chipotle Mexican Grill -
6314 York Road - Towson (Belvedere Square/ Govans)
Report this commentI know, I know, "How cliche" right? Well sue me. It's affordable, it's filling and, gosh darnit, people like it! Avoid this place like the plague between 2 and 3 p.m., unless you love swarms of high-schoolers and lines out the door. ** Tip of the day: though it's not on the menu, they will make quesadillas if you ask nicely. Yea, you're welcome.

Five Guys -
201 East Pratt St. - Baltimore (Harbor)
Report this commentPerfect little burger joint for those of us who love our taste buds more than our cardiovascular systems. The fries are the best you can get outside of Ocean City and the burgers beat just about any other short-order burger chain out there. And for those eager to clog their arteries, chow down on some free peanuts while you wait.

Bahama Breeze -
100 E. Joppa Road - Towson
Report this commentIf you can get past the Tommy Bahama-clad staff, this is actually a fun place for a chain restaurant. The drinks and bar food are great, there's a good selection of fresh fish and the island decor may allow you to forget you're stuck in Baltimore.
