All hail NBC's new drama 'Kings'
NBC's new series, "Kings," promises an epic story of greed and power, war and romance, forbidden loves and secret alliances—and a young hero who rises to power in a modern-day kingdom.
That's a whole lot of drama for one new show to take on. The story is loosely based on the parable "David and Goliath," and centers around a monarchy run by King Silas Benjamin (Ian McShane) [pictured, left].
When war breaks out with a neighboring kingdom, a young soldier, David Shepherd (Chris Egan) [pictured, right], defies orders and crosses enemy lines to save captured soldiers. Unknown to David (as in David and Goliath, get it?), the soldier he saves is the son of the king. From that day forth, David’s life will never be the same.
Take a first look at some photos from the first episode of "Kings."
"Kings" premieres on Sunday, March 15, at 8/7c on NBC.
