It's a mad, mad world

People often complain that video games are nothing but mindless, bloody violence. And thankfully, sometimes they’re right. In “MadWorld”—which Sega will release on the Wii next year—terrorists calling themselves The Organizers have turned your hometown, Varrigan City, into the set of “Death Watch,” a violent game show not unlike the one in “The Running Man.” And guess who the next contestant is going to be?
What’s striking about this game is not that it’s going to be released on the Wii, or that it’s made by the same people as the zen-esque “Okami” games, or even that it’s unabashedly violent (albeit in a darkly comic way). No, it’s the game’s “Sin City”-esque style, contrasted black and white, with splashes of red for blood and occasional yellow lettering for some “Batman”-style sound effects. All of which you can see for yourself in our lovely gallery.
