It's not unusual to walk in to this swanky pet boutique and be greeted by the two Havanese store mascots, Sophie and Sammie. Shaggy Chic has all the current dog and cat accoutrements including cuddly blankets, beds, apparel, car seats, ramps, beds, gourmet treats and hand-beaded collars and leashes from the Kenyan Collection. Pets are always welcome. On Sundays in the summer, visit the Birmingham Farmer's Market next door and bring your pooch by for a drink and holistic goodie from the bake case. --Julie Yolles
