This is hands down the best place around wixom, novi, walled lake area to go to. Fibbers is always a great place to be wether its for a business lunch or for a night out. They have great! live music on the weekends. The food is always good and well priced, they have daily food and drink specials that will keep you coming back. The service is absolutely great....no waiting for drink or food and the girls are always very sweet. This is the place that you go to once and you are a customer for life. They really make you feel like a friend and if the owner is there he will always stop to say hi and thaks for coming in, this is the only place where I have ever had a owner come over and say something like that. Bottom ;ine is that its a great place to go to any time day or night and everything is really good!

I was expecting a lot from this place: it's a local -looking place in the middle of a sea of banal national chains. I was taken aback by the poor service in this place. I have never been so patronized by the waitstaff in a place as here. I was so incensed at my poor treatment here that I got out of there as fast as possible. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the national chains, you'll thank yourself later.

I have been getting all of my special occasion cakes from Sweet Nothings for the past 4 years. I have had exceptional service each and everytime I order cakes. The cakes are so unique and taste absolutely fabulous! I will never go to another bakery.

I had to see this place for myself while in Detroit on business, and I'll be damned, it's the real deal. Not much to look at, and not the friendliest people you'll ever meet, but that adds to the atmosphere because that's what you'd get at a real New York deli. The corned beef and the rye bread are both out of this world -- as good as, and in some cases better than, what you'd get in NY (and I don't mean the tourist traps; I'm talking in Queens or Westchester). Enjoyed my dinner sandwich so much I went back and got one for lunch before flying home. I don't go home to NY too much, and there's nothing like this in DC. A real highlight of the Detroit area!

Just recently ate dinner at this restaurant and found this to be an excellent pizzabar. The excellent service (Richard) and ambiance (very quiet, serene and classy.) The pizza was fantastic (Ocean 21) and the bar is very well stocked with the finest liquor - the appetizer was just delicious (lamb chops.) We really enjoyed our experience at Taste and plan to come back very soon.

The nice view of the lake, the food, and the reasonable drink prices are great and all, but the drop-dead sexy servers are THE reason to go out of your way to this bar. The LYC girls are smoking hot and wear bikinis and lingerie that put Hooters outfits to shame. Like Hooters, you'll be annoyed by the creepy regulars that monopolize your server, but the sight lines are good so you will always have lots to look at (even the lake).
asdf2933 wrote about Bumpers Bar & Grill
The crowd at this place is really young, really drunk, and really rowdy. Problem is, not everyone is a barrel of laughs when they're blacked-out drunk. I'm in the service industry and went there late on a Thursday after my shift ended. I felt like I was in an episode of "COPS." I honestly don't remember much about drink prices, etc. I was too focused on making sure I didn't get on the bad side of some belligerent drunk looking for a fight. I won't be back.

The Manager doesn't appreciate loyal customers and their hostess Jill is rude. I don't want to spend my money at a place that can't greet you with a smile. I won't be setting foot back in there unless it is to sit down with the Owner

My husband and I visited the Big City Bar & Grill during a trip to Detroit to watch the Steelers play the Lions. This place was the greatest. Very friendly staff - warm and welcoming to all visitors. The food was fantastic and the drinks were reasonably priced. Ryan was a great bartender. We loved meeting and having fun with all the staff. Will recommend this place to everyone we know both in Pittsburgh and Detroit.

I was recently at Black Finn this past Friday, it was a great time is was a packed bar, but it was not hard to get a drink, Now my rating on the food section is not actable because I did not have anything to eat, that being said there was a belvedere promo going on which was a lot of fun as well. In addition the drafts and drink prices were about average for the area, but what separates this bar is its service staff as well as its ambiance, this bar in my opinion is a great place, just get there early an get a spot at the bar.

Several months ago, I chanced to apply for a job as Server in this restaurant. I was talking to a lady over the phone and she asked me to drop by. When I got there, I was told to just write my name and number on the piece of paper but said the manager isn't available and wait for the call. But there was not call made so I eventually called up again. I was told to come again. They seemed not to mind doing interview as I heard they're asking who would interview but since I dressed professionally and moments later a caucasian applicant arrived so I was given a blank paper to write my name, address, experiences, educational background. A caucasian applicant was also there and the guy manager attended her seemed special who just had only her name , address and number written and she left without being "interviewed". I wondered why her information was very short and looks like she had an assurance for the job. Later, the manager interviewed me and to make me feel better, he stressed that people around in this restaurant like me (?), that made me felt inferior as I knew he won't consider me because of my demographic background. The interview indeed finsihed with a common phrase that I would just be called. A week passed, the Server position was still posted outside this restaurant. I believed that one's ethnic racial profile is not a negative trait for one's qualifications and experiences for the job.

Culvers has the best custard and great flavors, constantly changing. The Manager is the very best. Always accommodating for my family, friends and our car club which usually has a cruise in there 3-4 times during the summer months. If you like custard, this is the place to go.

OK. I have lived downtown Detroit the past 3 years and have basically expienced every cuisine from Coach Insignia to the Polish Yacht Club(Must Try, Hard to find) so I consider myself an amatuer expert for downtown meals. I have been to 24grille 2 times. First off, the ambiance was spectacular. The first feel is that you found a hidden gem in the historic Westin Book Cadillac. I am a huge history and architecture buff, so the exposed collumns and antique furnace fan was really cool. The first time I went I sat down for dinner with my wife. The dining area was packed and felt how a vibrant downtown dining experience should feel. I had a Swordfish specials combined with a light salad. The swordfish was the best I've ever had. Moist, juicy and very flavorful. My wife had the Kona Encrusted Steak. It was cooked perfectly at mid-rare and had the slightest hint of finely ground coffee dust. It was served with Detroit's signature zip sauce and tasty mushrooms. The service was very, very good. The servers made great conversation and were very informed of wine pairings and how the food is prepared. My second expeience I decided to try the happy hour bar atmosphere. Im not one for eating at the bar always cause it can be uncorfortable, but this was the most comfortable bar sitting arraingment I have ever had. It had a huge deep bar that made eating and trying many dishes very easy and fun. I had the soup of the day, which was a creamy vegetable bisque. Awesome. I also had the hot shoe string fries. I could eat two buckets of those things. The beer selectin was great. Many varieties and a lot of local beers. The happy hour was a great deal. everything was around 2 or 4 bucks. There was a dish called the Lottery Ticket which you can buy a ticket for $2 and you automatically win something from a beer to a dinner for two. Creative and got me interested. Overall, I am so excited 24grille was built. I see myself becoming a regular. Great work.

The food isn't bad but can best be described as average, which is inexcusable for the prices you are charged. Additionally, we sat unattended for several minutes while our waiter chatted with a friend instead of doing his job. It was not until I got up and walked over to him that he rudely asked what we would like, as if I was inconveniencing him by dining at there. The service continued to be slow and I actually overheard another waiter loudly insulting a customer to some friends of his that were having drinks. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Como's.
PureApple wrote about Cariera's
I was there having dinner with my family. The service was perfect, however, my dinner was not good. My family members enjoyed their dinners. I ate about half of my dinner, as it was smothered in cheese but, once the cheese was gone, I noticed that the meat was a little tough and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I couldn't finish it. The waittress asked me if I liked it and I said I did not. Apparently, the waittress told the owner. The owner brought the plate over with the meat on it and started moving the food around on the plate with the knife and fork. She started talking about how I had eaten most of the food. It was a very aggressive and confrontational thing to do and she didn't know who I was sitting with. I told her that I wasn't asking for my money back. I was asked by the waittress whether I liked the food, I didn't volunteer that information. I also told her, because she was behaving in a confrontational manner, that her perfume was very heavy and that I had to move to a different part of the table because of it (She had been standing next to our table and I did not realize she was the owner). She told me I was rude and I told her she was being rude. I was not demanding my money back. There wasn't any reason for her to come to my table and confront me. Then, as I left, she told my sister and my 19 year old niece that she didn't want me back. It was a bizarre dining experience. Owners should be grateful when customers notify them of a bad meal so they can check with the chef to see if they need to buy their meat from somewhere else. I've never had such a bizarre dining experience.

I served here a while back, and I agree the majority of the servers there I have worked with before and they are great. They have a variety of menu items and a large restaurant. However, I had never worked anywhere that unclean. I don't like to bad mouth, but in this situation it being such a large restaurant I feel obligated. I don't know how they expect to pass any health code checks.

This place is so out of wack that the week of sept 1st they didnt pay their electric bill so the electricity was shut off on them, then the following week they got their gas shut off and had to bring in a gas grille to cook on. They cant even afford to pay thier employees, every person that i know that works there is either owed money or has 5 checks on them becuase they cant cash them. The management staff is so unprofessional and unorganized it's unreal............trust me, take it from someone who worked there!!!!!! wink wink.. Enjoy your rotted food if you choose to eat there.
