Myself and a co-worker ate at this restaurant today, and I must say I should have just went to McDonalds. While the portion sizes were huge, the food itself was cold and not very fresh. The salsa, which is a key to a great Mexican restaurant was definitely not homemade, or fresh. I have yet to find a good Mexican restaurant in Monroe. As for this place, your better off with Taco Bell.

I called early October to get information about having a gathering there. I left my number and later received a call from Pam. She informed me that it was no cost for 2 tables and the there would be a big party upstairs but that I could still have them. I was excited because I am not one who goes out a lot. I arrived on the date to meet my guest, thank God I arrived early and no one had showed up yet. I was told that they didn't have me down, only to look in the book and to see that my party had been moved to Sunday. I was later informed that the party upstairs decided that they didn't want any other parties upstairs, which I understood, but that PAM was suppose to contact me to let me know. I had not received a call, smoke signal or anything. This was a very big inconvenience and my birthday was a complete disaster. I had to hurry up and contact all that I had invited and tell them not to come. They will NEVER have to worry about me stepping foot in that place again!!!!!

Love, love, love this place - been in same location for a very long time, my childhood memories are made of going back to "the old neighborhood" with Dad on Saturday mornings to buy rye bread and babka. Certain times of the year, he'd buy me a special cookie shaped like one of the Peanuts characters to eat during the Charlie Brown Halloween and Christmas specials!

Save yourself! This place is awful! Not only is it awful, but the staff/owner is such a mean man. He is a sexist and racist man. He would only address my boyfriend and would not address me. Even to my boyfriend, he was still very rude! The kitchen area is disgusting and while we were eatting I even saw a mouse run across the floor/baseboard. Do not go to any location.

JeanneHunton wrote about Lelli's Inn
We chose to try Lelli's for our 25th anniversary dinner since it is very expensive and we could only go for a special occasion. I called two weeks ahead to make the reservation and told the person that it was our anniversary and I'd like a nice table. When we arrived we were escorted to a booth in the very back corner next to the kitchen entrance. There was a draft as well as servers racing back and forth in front of us. Several times the racks for the trays were slammed up against the wall next to my husband. I went back to the hostess stand to find out why my request for a good table had been ignored. She informed me there were no notations about it. Also, that if I wanted we could go up to the bar and wait for a better table. Apparantly Michael Buble was playing at a venue in the immediate area so they were extra busy. I would think this wasn't the first time in all their years this happened. They should have been prepared. The waitress took my husbands drink order and I was still looking at the wine list. She got his drink, came back to take my wine order and never returned for over 10minutes. We ordered Ceasar Salad tableside. The waitress pulled the cart up in front of our table and left it there while she proceeded to serve three parties their meals before she came back. At one point, she asked the hostess who was walking by what the next ingredient was that went in the dressing. Instead of going to the kitchen to get a lemon in the mesh for the salad dressing that she was missing she ran to the bar and got lemon sections and squeezed them straight into the dressing (that then had lemon seeds in it). Of course dinner took just as long, and I have to wonder if it's because when asked if we were going to the concert we said no. The servers were asking everyone and trying to rush the people who were going to the concert. I would have thought celebrating 25 years of marriage would warrant just as good service as someone on their way to a concert? Very disappointing memories of what should have been a very special evening.

This facility is not equiped to have both halls booked at the same time. The walls are too thin to prevent the louder event from completely ruining the quieter event. And employees, managers and owner do not care at all. Do not risk having your event ruined because of a poorly set up hall and a company that does not care if you are satisfied.

Took my wife for her birthday on 9/17, they had a prime rib special at the fairly high price of $19.95, which for a bday is OK except what we received for our dough was a chewy piece of beef, undercooked green beans and an ice cream scoop of something mashed earlier in the day with congealed cheese, yum. the waitress did ask why we left the whole mess pretty much untouched, but in the end charged us full price and the promise that she would "talk to the chef", right. Don't waste your time folks, this place is way over priced and the fare is just above dogfood.

Food was OK - the service was HORRIFIC. I came in at 5:06 p.m. and took a seat. A hostess brought me water and I explained my dinner companion would arrive in a few minutes. She arrived at 5:15. No one came to the table to take our order until 5:40. The wait for our food was extended. Either the order was not turned in, or the cook didn't prepare it. More waiting when it was time for the bill. We both had our credit cards out to pay. Manager "John" finally came to the table, and without saying anything else, began THREATENING us that "there would be ramifications if we walked out without paying". What??? There had been no mention of our not paying - I was waiting for THEM to do the right thing on their own and adjust our bill to reflect the mistakes and very poor service. I WAS a longtime customer -- I won't be back.

Not sure what has happened at this restaurant But the cook/owner does not know how to cook eggs. There was a time that this was a good restaurant. I ordered an omelette and the eggs were so brown that my dog would not eat it when I brought it home after I was unable to choke it down. Potatoes were half done and toast was late and under done. when i mentioned to the waitress that the eggs were way overdone she relayed to me from the "cook" that "They cannot serve raw eggs" i will never eat here again and my wife and her Avon group have already decided to meet at Luca's Right Across the street where they know how to cook an egg. Washtenaw Ave. Eats restaurants for fun and this place will be its next victim if he does not A) learn how to cook an Egg and focuses on improving as opposed to making childish excuses.

Long wait, nice look to the place, food was mediocre, terrible service, over priced. I nearly always tip even with bad service but this was the exception. After a very disappointing experience (didn't bring our appetizer, got our order wrong, never came back to check on us I could of had another drink) we waited forever to get our check. I gave the waiter an extra twenty for change so I could leave a 10% tip and then had to wait another extended period of time for him to return with my change. He never broke the twenty for the tip. I don't recommend this place.
bagman wrote about Bagger Dave's Legendary Burgers & Fries
this place has "legendary burgers"? thats funny bcz, when my girl asked for them to cook her burger medium well, the waiters reply was "we don't cook the burgers to order". he was a little rude about it, like she should have known better but, your a burger place? right? even burger king makes it your way. I've been here a few times but, next time if i want two processed beef patties (stacked on top of each other to make then look like one big patty) from Gordon foods I'll just cook it myself. i know, i know they have a train
MayWed wrote about Sagebrush Cantina
Sagebrush Cantina has lost the personal touch they once had with their customers because the have become so popular that they just do not care if you patronize the establishment. Several times during the past year or so I have had a very unsatisfying dining experience. The most recent and worst experience was on May 24, 2013. Yes the food at Sagebrush Cantina is average for Mexican food in the area. But no eatery is worth being treated with disrespect, not only by the wait staff, but management as well or waiting for hours to eat at.

[Memorial Day Weekend 2013] - Very windy that Sunday and yet they had all their main doors open, it was freezing in there! Three of the 4 people at our table ordered Mojitos - when they arrived, not one person could drink theirs - they were awful, so we sent them back and decided to order something that couldn't be screwed up = beer. BUT, the person that ordered a Corona with a Lime ended up getting a Corona with a Lemon instead! Are you kidding me?! The burger came incorrectly cooked, with the bottom of the bun soggy to no end. The fries were terrible and drenched in grease. The ($14.99) menu item that was described as chicken stuffed with sausage and wrapped with bacon arrived as a full link sausage barely wrapped in a tiny bit of pressed chicken and wrapped in soggy bacon. (It was served cut up into pieces already & was barely warm) The asparagus tasted like it hadn't been cooked either - they were so hard that you barely bit through them. (They looked like someone threw them on the grill to get a charred look to them and then 2 seconds later, threw them on the plate.) Needless to say everyone was so starved that they ate what they could off their plates. We will NOT, however, be going back there ... especially when you can't even count on getting a decent drink or a meal to arrive as it's described in the menu.
My family and I have had several events here at Ernie's and they never disappoint!!! The food is so amazing, the staff are warm and friendly and the owners, Sam & Marlaina are the best, and the atmosphere of the Mediterranean Room is just so nice and relaxed. The decor is beautiful, simple but elegant. The Mothers Day Brunch was out of this world. I have never had Roast Beef cooked so perfectly in my life! I wanted to dive face first... The Thursday night Prime Rib special... what can I say, again, amazing... melt in your mouth, the most succulent prime rib. Tuesday night Lobster tail special, to die for!!! Everything is just amazing here. I highly recommend Ernie's for any and all your functions, no matter what the occasion, they will accommodate!!! Keep up the wonderful job!! We'll be back very soon. There are you average coney island with one major difference. They are open 24 hours 6 days a week. sunday is the only day they close which is at 3 p.m. They did good with their cost plan for the meals. nothing is really that expensive and the meals are fair. I recommend this coney island to people that enjoy coney's.

How would you feel if you were out for dinner and ordered a 24oz draft beer and was served just over 12oz and the wait staff assured you that was a 24oz beer? Would you feel cheated, lied to, scammed? We did because that is exactly what happened at this establishment on Tuesday, April 16. Jacqueline waited on us. My husband ordered a 24oz Miller Lite draft. When the drink came he questioned our waitress if this is truly a 24oz draft. She express, yes that is what we serve. She said, I know it doesn’t look like it but it is. In fact others have questioned the same thing. After drinking the beer, he ordered a 12oz bottle of Miller Lite. Pouring the contents into the empty “24oz” glass the draft was served in, proved you are cheating your customers. The glass was practically full with a few ounces to spare. Calling Jacqueline over to prove our point, she had virtually nothing to say. We were so upset he did not drink the beer and could not finish his meal. We asked for our check paid for our meal and the beverages and left. No doubt someone is getting a kick back. We will NEVER be back to this establishment.
