Housed in a vintage, renovated taxi garage, this fine-dining establishment is known for its decadent beveled mirrors, Italian marble and oak bar. The concept of Opus One took more than a decade to perfect but by the late '80s had become a reality. Today, not only does it offer guests the chance to enjoy fine French and American cuisine, but it also offers customers theater packages and 'cuisine for a cause,' where on certain weeks, 25% of the profits from all lunches and dinners ordered a la carte go to the charity of the patron's choice. Don't forget the happy hour specials Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m., featuring a raw bar Monday through Friday as well as drink and food specials. Monday is $2 beers or $4 well drinks, Tuesday is $5 martinis, Wednesday is $2 beers or $4 well drinks, Thursday is half off all wine (glasses and bottles) and Friday is $5 martinis. The food is delicious, but come with the intentions of saving room for dessert ' it will be worth it.
