Wasabi, a Korean and Japanese restaurant, is now open on the first floor of the Park Shelton building on Woodward Avenue. Just open a week, this place is already getting positive reactions from customers as well as repeat business. There may be some sushi places around but this is one of the authentic Korean restaurants in the area. Wasabi offers traditional Korean food like the Dolsot Bibimbab served in a “hot stone bowl” and Korean barbeque items, mostly pork.

The Japanese side of the menu has entrees like shrimp and vegetable tempura, beef and chicken dishes and a nice variety of noodle options. As the name implies, sushi one of the main attractions, treated like edible art. The separate sushi menu is a la carte and is comprised of regional rolls that represent the areas the originated, like the Michigan roll, a shrimp tempura roll with crab salad and jalapenos on top.
