The Woodard, located in the lobby level of the Compuware building, faces Woodard Avenue and offers elegant dining with a swanky and hip ambiance. The Kern clock is right outside and is seen through the dining room windows. It’s a great spot for lunch, featuring a lunch menu with lighter entrees and signature sandwiches.
Dinner fare is generally heavier with a larger selection of entrees than the day-time fare. The wine list is limited but solid. Cocktails seem more interesting at The Woodward. I tried a recent concoction called Thai Iced Tea, made with Zen green tea liqueur, citrus vodka and then doused with half and half -- great summer drink.

Extraordinarily over-rated and over-priced. All flash, no substance. Thumbs down.
