Mon Jin Lau is a family owned Nu-Asian restaurant that has been open since 1969. The restaurant goes beyond the average Chinese restaurant by leaps and bounds. It’s really a restaurant that honors all facets of Asian cuisine from Chinese to Thai, Korean and Japanese.

Currently, the restaurant is run by Brandon and Bryan Chin, third-generation owners. Brandon explained the essence of balance focused on in the cuisine: “In Chinese culture we believe in yin and yang -- a balance, and that is what we try to achieve with our food. …A balance between sweet and hot. There is always one thing to balance another.”

Not to mention the influence of Western fusion techniques and a huge wine list with “the best wine prices in the metro area,” full of interesting wines from around the world. The common perception is that wine and Asian food do not really work together, which is totally not true and Mon Jin Lau proves it by having a wine list that caters to wine lovers as well as the diverse menu.
