A contrast to the surrounding Corktown area’s dark and greasy bars, the newly opened Mercury Coffee Bar boasts fresh, healthy food and world-class coffee in an ultra modern setting.

The renovated space is a very open, modern area with custom stainless steel counters, flat blue, yellow, and white walls and a pink floor with sky lights so light creeps down into the basement dining area.

This is one of the only places in the Detroit area to find Intelligentsia Coffee (a direct trade boutique roaster out of Chicago that visits the growing areas around the world and works with the farmers teaching them how to identify the qualities that appeal to more urban tastes).

Head Barista, Daisuke Hughes has traveled the world learning about coffee. He worked in London for the Monmoth Specialty Coffee Company for three years.

Accompany your coffee with a baked good, made in house from scratch. Cookies, cakes and bars are made, again, with the utmost of quality without hesitation.
