With purple trim and a 6-foot garlic bulb hanging from the roof, the Quarter Bistro & Tavern in Ann Arbor delivers big flavors, casual cuisine and a fun, relaxed attitude. It has a large menu that combines New Orleans fare with familiar American and European dishes. With 31 entrees -- not counting the sandwiches -- it is difficult to figure out what the kitchen does best. The Quarter has an oyster bar and serves up chops, steaks and vegetarian dishes.
