Metro Detroiters have a ton of great spots to choose from when it comes to sushi but there can only be five nominees on this raw list. After studying all the great spots, we selected the best from the sushi restaurants in the city by weighing both the presentation and quality of the dishes and also the nightlife options... Sushi fans and Metromix users are always looking for a hip scene to roll through... If you think we left out a deserving nominee, let us hear about it!

But it's the tiny store-back restaurant, Noble Fish Sushi Bar, that connected with Metromix readers, who voted it the best for the second year in a row. All traditional sushi combinations are available, as well as a few rolls unique to Noble Fish. Try the appetizer called Dynamite -- a small, baked casserole of mixed seafood and vegetables. Noble Fish is widely recognized for having some of the freshest and most affordable sushi in metro Detroit.

It boasts one of the largest sushi bars around - with at least 20 seats. Try the Max Roll if you like your sushi smothered and covered, or the oven-baked Roma roll, made of spicy tuna and crab. Tempura fans can't resist the Crunch Roll. Dine on these or any Japanese dishes at a table or a mat in the Tatami Room.
