Slows Bar BQ
- Neighborhood: Corktown/Michigan Ave.
- 2138 Michigan
- Detroit, MI 48216
- 313-962-9828
Since it opened in September 2005, this bustling Corktown eatery has been a runaway hit. Slows dishes up traditional barbecue and awesome sides, including heavenly mac-and-cheese. Expect to wait about 45 minutes on weeknights and up to three hours on Friday or Saturday nights. Enjoy one of 60 beers, 20 of them on tap, while you wait, and check out the hipster crowd. The bar has two TVs, and in the summer there's patio seating. --Emiliana Sandoval
