There were always 5-6 men and women in each line to use the bathroom. Only one stahl each? What goes up must come down, in out whatever...

We are looking for a hangout pre and post Lions Games and thought we would check out Coaches prior to attending the Kenny Chesney Concert, and have a late lunch about 2:30 pm. It was a bit busy but plenty of empty tables could be found. The wait staff was slow to say the least. They used runners to bring your meal out to your table but were clueless which table to bring the food to. We saw several meals make a few trips around the dining room before arriving to the correct dinners. Not eating? Good luck getting a second drink, and nothing on tap they ran out. This bar owner could have had a big day and future repeat business.

I went to Coaches Corner for the Final Four Semi Final Games on April 4. Overall this has to be the worst run bar I have ever been to.
- No one checked ID's
- Bar was way over crowded b/c no one was counting people entering or leaving
- Way understaffed. Not enough bar tenders or bus boys. There were 15-20 empty beers on the bar at all times.
- Ran out of bottled beer. Served warm beers fresh out of box.
- $18 for a pitcher of beer. Crazy price.
- Poor attitude of staff. No one was hustling.
- Toliets running over in men's bathroom that were not cleaned up
- NO volume for game! They had a week to figure this out.
The owner and management of the bar should be very embarrassed by the incompetence that was on display this day. I have no doubt they made a ton of money this day, but did so at the expense of future visits by patrons. I will never go to this place again nor recommend anyone go there ever after what I witnessed.

Some friends and I were down there for the NCAA title game. The experience there was pretty terrible. They were serving room temperature bottles of domestic beer at $5 a piece. It was 35 degrees outside yet they couldn't get the beer cold? They were charging $10 cover to watch the game, yet the sound was not working over the PA system. How does a bar like this not test the sound prior to the biggest event of the year for the city? The service was terrible as well. Very slow, not really friendly, took a 1/2 hour to cash out. The pizza was good though. I've worked in the industry for quite awhile and with so many options downtown, I really see no reason to go back to this place.

My boyfriend & I went here with some friends before and after the last Lions game. We had a blast. The music was great, on but not to loud. We ordered burgers and pizza(highly recommend) it was quick and the waitress was great. After the game (4th quarter really) we returned. The waitress remembered our names and what we liked to drink. We stayed downtown and partied there to traffic cleared. The staff was hilarious and very entertaining. You have to experience for yourself the craziness that is Coaches. They truely are a "Detroit Sports Bar" no commercialism just real people having a real downtown time. We made friends and some great memories. I actually can't wait to go to another Lions game with my Boyfirnd come Thanksgiving! Julie
