Sumo Sushi knows hip. With an eclectic menu of traditional sushi favorites and new twists on old techniques, Sumo is the destination for those who eat, sleep and breathe sushi. Dark wood tables, accompanied by bench-style seating or matching chairs, are set with linen napkins, chopsticks and small pencils to mark your choice on the sushi menu. That philosophy is part of what makes Sumo so popular. The menu is approachable, even for newbies, and the waitstaff is much like the clientele -- young, hip and friendly. The house salad is a must, and like the menu says, the ginger dressing is delicious. Take your time with the maki list; it features at least 30 house rolls. Big sellers include the Devil roll (cooked) and the Green River Roll (raw).
