The general consensus is that the new Royal Kubo incarnation in Clawson is bigger and even better than the original. Moving the establishment from Oak Park, Kubo brought with it the same authentic Filipino food and karaoke fun. The restaurant offers a mixture of Spanish and Asian cuisine and traditional offerings include pansit (rice noodles). The interior is casual but charming with Tiffany-style lamps adorning most of the tables. Whether they come for the food or the tunes, Royal Kubo is a prime party destination most nights of the week. --Erin Branstner
