The Mendoza, Argentina
vineyards have cropped an earthy and drier wine -- Zolo Malbec -- that’s a good red selection
for beginners. This malbec grape wine offers an intense violet color with berry
flavors and doesn’t have a lot of tannin to mellow the aging. This vino goes
for $8 a glass at Vinotecca’s trendy wine bar, where bottles are stocked so high
a steel ladder is used to grab a selection.
