A contemporary and cheery tavern at the corner of a strip mall on 13 Mile Road near Southfield Road, Tavern on 13, offers a standard assortment of sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. A different shrimp special is offered each week. The meal-size salads are huge and truly enough for two. Be sure to try the warm maple honey dressing that comes with the grilled chicken salad of cherries, Granny Smith apples and walnuts over a bed of assorted greens. Though it's made for that salad, it can be ordered on others and is certainly worth a try. --Cassandra Spratling
