A Michigan landmark since 1937, Shield's began as a humble bar at the corner of Davison and Shields Street in Detroit. Though the original Detroit location has since closed, Shield's still serves up its famous deep-dish pizzas at locations in Clinton Township, Macomb Township, Troy, Southfield and Warren. Love the pizza -- one of the best family-owned restaurants in the area. Nice waitstaff and good beer specials.
