Each and every time I have been to this place, no matter how often I ask for no fat, the sandwich is mostly fat. It's a dirty place and hygiene is foreign to these folks. I have never see a sandwich like the one pictured in this survey and article. I have to to some local media people who say they get great food and service, but obviously Mike's can't serve the same garbage to those people that they pass off on the "little" people.

Absolutely Fabulous Sandwich

I stopped on my way back from Canada. When I first pulled up, I thought "OMG, can this be the place?'". But the open sign in the window led me into a tiny hole-in-the-wall place that had the best looking piece of ham and FABULOUS BEAN SOUP!

This is well worth the trip. The owners were very nice and I will stop there again when I go to Canada in August.

Detroit's Best Ham Sandwich

Once you come here you will come back. I think it is Detroit's Best ham sandwich and simply incredible. I have been to all the "Ham palaces" and "Ham Kings" and Mike's is the original. Another Detroit landmark and reason why I live downtown!

The Best of The Best ham sandwich around bar none. The tick cut smoke ham is to die for and what could be beter than ham, eggs and coffee in the morning.
