Brownie's on the Lake

An old treasure is new again and in a new location. The new Brownie's on the Lake is scheduled to open on May 27, in time for the Memorial Day weekend and a summer of fun on Lake St. Clair. It's been 14 years since the beloved old Brownie's on the Nautical Mile closed. The new Brownie's is offering menu items like New England clam chowder, fish and chips,lobster mac and cheese and cheesecake made from the old Brownie's recipes. The new restaurant's specialty is fresh fish, including walleye, perch, whitefish, salmon and more. They even have lasagna Andiamo restaurant-style and their own pastry chef. Live entertainment is scheduled Thursdays through Sundays. Tuesday will be Tiki Night in the open air tiki bar. Docks for boaters' short visits or overnight stays are available. --Dana Sue Jackson
