Party pics: Skrillex the Bang at the Palace
The new year really did start with a bang at the Palace of Auburn Hills when, at the stroke of midnight, electronic music superstar Skrillex took the stage in his spaceship-styled DJ booth. Skrillex headlined "The Bang!," an eight-hour electronic music showcase featuring 15 electronic artists spread over three stages inside the arena. National acts Boys Noize, Flosstradamus, Alvin Risk, D.I.M., and Destructo could be found on the main stage. Meanwhile, Detroit artists entertained on the Movement stage located in the Palace's Club West. The event concluded with a VIP after party in the Pistons VIP club highlighted by a set by Dog Blood, an electro side project of Skrillex & Boys Noize.
