Party pics: Shine On at the TV Bar
Stoopid Fresh Tuesdays at the TV Bar hosted a special night to celebrate the life and legacy of Detroit hip-hop artist James Yancey aka J. Dilla. Raising more than $3,000 for Ma Dukes and the Yancey fam, Motor City music junkies were treated to “Donuts” and DJ sets from host K-Fresh, back-in-town-from LA Houseshoes, and Slum Village DJ Dez. Live joints from Sicari, Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, Slum Village, Big Tone, Phat Kat, Finale, 5 Ela and Royce Da 5’9” all kept the Dilla spirit alive for the pioneer’s birthday.
