Party pics: DJ House Shoes record release at the Shelter
Acclaimed hip-hop DJ and producer, DJ House Shoes, made a triumphant return to the Shelter in Detroit’s St. Andrew's Hall to celebrate the upcoming release of his first LP “Let It Go.” House Shoes became a fixture of Detroit’s hip-hop scene during his 1994-2004 tenure as St. Andrew’s Hall’s resident hip-hop DJ. The evening’s festivities paid tribute to that era of Detroit's musical history and featured live performances of new songs from House Shoes upcoming LP. DJ K-Fresh got the evening started before House Shoes took the stage. During his set, House Shoes was joined by some of Detroit’s best emcees including Guilty Simpson, Black Milk, Marv Won and Big Tone among others.
