While many Detroit sports fans are still reeling from Michigan State being bounced out of the Final 4 Saturday night in Indy, others have moved on to the next big event – Friday’s Detroit Tigers home opener at Comerica Park.
Whether or not fans flocking downtown care that the Tigers are playing the Cleveland Indians or that it’s been more than a quarter-century since the boys of summer won the World Series pennant really doesn’t matter much: It’s Opening Day and that means a whole lot of fun for thousands of party people -- and sports fans, too.
