Blaze of glory
Back in the ‘90s, the term “stoner” was being bandied around with an apparent disregard for its true meaning. As far as we’re concerned, stoner rock is simply music designed to compliment the effects of marijuana. Not that we condone such things, of course. To celebrate 4-20, we rolled up five of the bands that best fit this description. We couldn’t fit everyone in, so be sure to check out Clutch, Cathedral, Fu Manchu, Masters Of Reality, Five Horse Johnson and local heroes The Universal Temple Of Divine Power. All of them can be enjoyed sober, but it’s fairly certain that over the years, many people have put on records by the following artists while rolling a fat one on the sleeve.
