Chart-topping rapper Flo Rida (best known for his hit single “Low” with T-Pain and his up-and-coming joint “Right Round” with singer Kesha) took a break from his listening party at Premium in the D to shoot the breeze with Metromix.

“I want people to know I'm well rounded and can perform on many different levels,” Flo Rida says about his new album "R.O.O.T.S." “I wanted to broaden my horizons and put smiles on my fans' faces.”

"R.O.O.T.S." -- which drops March 31 -- “has more substance, flava and everything,” Flo Rida says.

“The first CD was basically about myself. This CD deals more with the people around me -- things my fans can touch base with in their life also.”

While visiting the Motor City, Flo Rida tries to take in a Pistons game, checks out the local talent shaking it on Eight Mile or grabs a bite at Dede's Famous Chicken and Waffles in Warren.
