Eliza Neals: "Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style" premieres tonight on Bravo
Reality TV is much like “The Days of Our Lives.” Not many will admit to watching it, but the shows are incredibly successful. In truth, reality TV, and the music variation of these shows in particular, are the ultimate in car-crash television; we know what we are viewing is horrible, but there’s no turning away.
Here in the blue-collar city of Detroit people are known for our hard-work ethic, brutal honesty, integrity (sans, perhaps, a texting mayor), but that hasn’t stopped some of our home-grown own from jumping at the chance of some mass exposure. Metromix rocked the TiVo and highlighted a few Detroiters that captured (or are about to capture) the public’s eye. Some more than others…
