Echoes of Pink Floyd

Unsurprisingly, this Pink Floyd tribute pride themselves on their big production, going so far as to construct a huge wall made out of cardboard boxes when re-creating Floyd’s “The Wall” stage set. It’s not unusual for Echoes of Pink Floyd to shell out $2,000 when putting on one of their shows. They sound pretty accurate, too, though front-man Alex Gonzales is happy to give the look-alike game a miss.

“We don’t try to look like them,” Gonzales says. “There’re a lot of tribute band that try to do that, but Floyd was fairly anonymous. We’re glad we don’t have to do that.”

The band’s set can incorporate anything from early Floyd material off of “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn” to songs from 1994’s “The Division Bell.” It depends what mood the band members are in. However they choose to play it, this band are well worth catching.
