Discussion of:
Ben Folds: ‘Normal’ guy
It’s been a chaotic couple of years for piano rocker Ben Folds. Since the release of his last album, 2005’s “Songs for Silverman,...

I would have to totally disagree with the statements that I see here. Young people use this kind of language constantly. No matter if they read just this one little article. Ben Folds isn’t going to make them use fowl language, society is. Young people are smarter than you think. So who cares? Maybe it’s time you focus on yourself. I think if you look at Ben Folds underlining points about experiences in his life then you could actually learn something. Maybe music, and the people who create it, just isn't your thing. The music wouldn't be the way it is without his personality.

Swearing??? I think reading about people getting shot down in cold blood on the freeway is more disturbing. Grow up...

The easiest way to take away freedom is claim it is 'For the children.' Heaven forbid a child read a swear instead of just hearing it from their parents. Kids use the same language on the playground and it wasn't like the F word was used in an explicit way. Children under the age of 13 shouldn't be unsupervised on the internet and if they are unsupervised on the internet they aren't reading the Des Moines Register but if you are worried of a teenager reading 'inappropriate' language than you need to stop listening to Ben Folds and go back to listening to your Newsboys cassettes. Back on topic; The fake album leak was cool and all but the same day it was leaked Ben confirmed to Rolling Stone that it was a fake leak from him so everyone in the know knew that it was a fake, still a good prank though. I can't wait to seen Ben Folds again when and if he comes back to Des Moines.

As much as I like Ben Folds, is this language appropriate on a website where young people view?
