A more authentic experience than the portable drive-ins showing up in stadium parking lots, the Ford has been showing movies outdoors since 1950. See nightly double features shown on five screens, starting at dusk and running until 4 or 5 in the morning. Sound now comes through your car stereo, though portable speakers (along with in-car heaters) are available at the box office. This drive-in remains one of the nation's largest, with space for almost 3,000 cars. They even still show the vintage circus-themed intermission film with the juggling popcorn, dancing soft drinks and acrobatic hot dog.
