Aaliyah, "Queen of the Damned"

Forget the fangs; just about every other body part of the late Aaliyah matters more in “Queen of the Damned” as she strives to seduce the whole world. She is truly the queen of this film, laying down with vampire lover Lestat in a bath of rose pedals and leaving all the other men wishing they could take his place. For a genre so preoccupied with death as an ecstatic release, Aaliyah gives us one of the great vampires of all time, convincing men that death would be a small price to pay for one night with her.
