"Jersey Girl" (2004)

Caught in the act: Single father Ollie (Ben Affleck) plans to get lucky with video-store clerk Maya (Liv Tyler), when his daughter Gertie (Raquel Castro) unexpectedly arrives home. The half-naked couple hide in the shower, but are soon discovered when Gertie walks into the bathroom to use the toilet. Thoroughly tame by Smith standards, the scene still stands out in what is otherwise the director’s kindest, gentlest and—perhaps not coincidentally—least well-regarded comedy.
