Fun-sized host Ryan Seacrest is back with another mega-sized season of "American Idol."
The 11th season of "Idol" returns with last season's trio of judges—who are usually more entertaining than the contestants—Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
In the two night premiere, hopeful amateurs across the country vie for the golden ticket to Hollywood with auditions from young, starry-eyed kids to an unexpected performance of the theme song to "Family Matters." (No, really.)
Join in on the laughter, the cookie-cutter underdog stories and some better-than-average voices that are slated to appear in the running for the next "American Idol." Just make sure you pace yourself—both "The Voice" and "The X Factor" will be back faster than you can say oversaturated market.

Season 11 of "American Idol" premieres Wednesday, January 18, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
