Excellent omelets , and the pierogis are the best. I have had the peirogis both boiled and pan-fried - both perfect. Special requests are okay - such as no sausage on the Polish omelet. A great diner.
cellini10 wrote about Studio D
My friends organized a big event at Studio D. The place was very nice although decorated with paintings from 2 friends painters. The food and beverages as well the animation were also all provided by my girlfriends. I would suggest to anyone who wants to deal with the owner to watch what is written on the contract. The owner did not live up to our expectations by failing to provide 2 waitresses to the event. He did not handle business properly with the organizers, actually got very upset when we refused to pay for the missing waitresses. He stopped the music and made a scene in front of the audience....Shame, shame, shame... As we all say: Lesson Learnt.

Great to see a NEW gay bar in Detroit. The inside is actually really nice and they now have a great new outdoor deck that is completely secure. Everything in the bar is new. So far so good. Bartenders are nice and not bad to look at. Parking lot is fenced in and has security. No problems.

THIS location here near m59 is great... It's the OTHER one at 24 that is terrible. My apologies!
Aaronsayshi wrote about Sorrento Pizza
I worked here for two days and saw the way they run the place. The workers are good, some of them. But some workers are very rude and inconsiderate of customer needs. Apparently they pay under the table and refused to pay me for the time I spent there. Even if they are going to pay under the table (which I was not informed) they could have offered $5/hour for my time (I'm a good worker and great with customers). The owner pretended like he didn't know who I was when I asked for my pay (in front of customers of course) and behaved as if I was trying to rob the place. I wish all the worst for the owners of this restaurant. There are plenty of other places around to get a better pie for less money. I have worked at another much better pizza place when I was younger before college and there are other restaurants that will make your pizza in 10-12 minutes. In fact there is another sorrento's just down van dyke close to hall. I hope my experience has inspired you to consider other options :)

Ezd wrote about The Parrot Cove
Worst experience I've had in the past ten years at least! Took my wife there for a mothers day dinner since they boasted best prime rib in town. Meat was bland at best. Mine was the $21.99 cut and was horrible. It had two rib bones connected! Never had bone in prime rib! Was impossible to eat and unevenly cooked. To make matters worse, I gave my opinion when asked. I was double teamed by servers telling me why I was wrong to be displeased. I was calm and asked them to do what was fair. When I got my bill, I was charged full price for everything. I went to the bar to ask why I wasn't given any discount since I couldn't eat most of it. The hostess Maria then proceeded to embarrass me in front of all the other patrons. Telling me that I ate the entire thing and then was asking for a free meal, when I was only barely able to eat a quarter of the hunk of sub-par meat. Outback puts these people to shame, and I'm not a huge fan of Outback. Not to mention that I've never received worse customer service at a fast food establishment. I've never said this before, but I hope they go out of business. Maria and Parrot Cove is a great candidate to be on kitchen nightmares! Worst experience ever.

I haven't eaten at Shores Inn since 1999 & thought it was okay then. But tonight I had the worst meal I've never eaten in a very long time. The spinach artichoke dip had so much garlic it was not edible. The chili was burnt, my caesar salad was soaked with dressing & the all u can eat perch (fried) was too done & had too much batter. Very disappointed. :(
skyking wrote about Wintergarden Tavern
My wife and I have visited Wintergarden 3 times in the past couple months. The food has always been scrumptuous and the female bartender who also serves tables during the week does a fabulous job and is very personable. I highly recommend the Blackened Whitefish dinner. Their burgers are always great too! When we come in during weekday afternoons, after purchasing lunch we get to play free pool. There may be a limit as to what hour you can play upto but we've haven't hit it. Anyways we both give it both thumbs up!!!!
JacquelynLaFrance wrote about Insalata
I pick up lunch for my coworkers all the time, usually 3-10 of us. I like to call in the order because its usually faster and more likely that the order will be forrect. When I picked up our sandwiches from Insalata the service was terrible. Both employees working the counter were confused. The woman said the person who called didn't order everything I was asking her for... I'm the one who called it in so I know I said everything and even seperated the orders by name. I was earlire than the 20 minutes they said it'd take and it still took another 15 for them to get my order straight. The prices are rediculous for the quality. My food along with my coworkers was cold (soup and potato). The cheese on the baked potato was velveta/melted/nacho cheese and it was not good at all. With the poor quality and poor service I will probably never come back here. Before I left I said "I do this all the time and it's never been such a hassle" The cashier didn't apologize, offer to buy my soup, nothing.

DamusFucious commented on Party pics: Small Plates grand opening
First of all, folks get turned off by a restaurant named Small Plates. The inclination is that small offerings are served. 2ndly, small offering did occur in 3 instances where we attended between 2005-2007. It's why we started eating elsewhere. Your food back then was very good - just not enough of it. Good luck this time-around. Hopefully the food allotment has increased.

This is the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders with a few of our girls from the Liberty All Star Cheer Team out of Clarkston, Michigan. They had such a good time. Thanks for making this event a great one for us!
loki993 commented on Clarkston's Union Woodshop
As nice as that sounds, why not instead of making a bar and shop just fill the upstairs with seats so you can actually feed more people instead of making them wait an hour and a half to eat.
Bree2012 wrote about Ming's Chop Suey & Carry Out
The prices weren't bad but the food was bland. The rice was terrible I even attempted to put seasons on it after drowning it in soy sauce. When I have Chinese food I like it flavorful and delicious. I was very disappointed and wish I would have just got Checkers from down the road :(

First visit under new ownership. Met the owners who are enthusiastic about the neighborhood and community which is a plus for this Woodbridge resident. Friendly, pleasant music provided atmospher for conversation. The Irish egg rolls are very tasty and I'm looking forward to having lunch. Welcome to the community. We will be back.
Duckbert wrote about Jimmy Dee's Restaurant Lounge
Terrible, Terrible, Terrible My girl friend ordered a padee melt medium and it was well, I ordered a burger well and it was burnt. Regular fries were terrible and were cold. The bartender wearing the Kaline jersey was very mean and disrespectful to customers. We were there for St Pattys day and no problems with food or service. Not busy tonight and service is very bad. Waited too long for drinks. If it wasn't for our coupon it would have been a total bust. How was our food? Nobody cared. No manager and all our waitress wanted was our money. We will never go back. Aspen or Sugar Bush are better options. Opted for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy over the Tigers.
