Somerset CityLoft Opening
Upscale shopping returned to downtown Detroit with the July 28, 2011 opening of the Somerset Collection CityLoft. The 4,000 square-foot space features 38 mini-boutiques of the Troy Somerset Collections retailers.
Located inside Merchants Row at 1441 Woodward, the Somerset CityLoft got off to a fast start with customers lining up down Woodward waiting to get a look inside. Some shoppers were able to check out the new location on their lunch break while others took advantage of the 10 Cadillac Escalades that shuttle guests to and from the CityLoft free of charge. A doorman, live mannequins in the window and a gathering crowd created a festive atmosphere for shoppers and pedestrians alike.
The Somerset CityLoft is open through Saturday July 30 (Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 7p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The CityLoft will re-open the last Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the month through September. More information can be found at www.thesomersetcollection.com.
