Sole Sisters Fashion show
Sole Sisters -- the Royal Oak beacon of all things that are great on your feet, slung over your shoulder or draped across your neck -- recently hosted the latest styles of local designer Crystal “Cdot” Hall through a still fashion show ”Fashion for the Sole.”
“It’s a way to get the clothes out (and) the boutique, socialize, meet and mingle,” says Crystal Marie of C-MY Style event planning.
Hall’s new diva-worthy digs of bright and colorful swimwear, summer-esk dresses and other collection pieces were topped with accessories from the trendy store.
“It’s time to get rid of the big and bulky things and you don’t have to show a lot to be simple and sexy,” says Hall. “Lace tops, gaucho pants, skinny jeans, ruffles, crochet; things that have a classy, but sexy feel.”
Metromix briefly sat down with Nichole Sterling, owner of Sole Sisters and Sofi Blu Hair Salon and lover of fashion -- in particular shoes, bags and purses -- to find out how women can update their look on the runway and in the real world.
So how long has Sole Sister’s been around now?
Over seven years.
Why do you think people flock here?
The main thing I always here from people is they can get things here that they can’t find at other places. People tell me it’s different and unique.
And what’s big in season now?
Wood bottoms, double platforms and color.
If you could pick one hot heel for us from your store, what would it be?
One from Poetic License. It’s all about mixing colors, patterns and textures.
