Slaw opening reception at River's Edge Gallery
Esteemed Detroit artist Slaw was on hand to greet guests at the opening reception of his “Fly Now...Pay Later” exhibit at Wyandotte’s River Edge Gallery. Visitors to the galley were greeted by hostesses straight out of one of Slaws 1960s-inspired retro jet set paintings. Guests were able to mingle with the artist and free to explore the spacious three floor gallery. Slaw’s current exhibit runs through November 10, 2011.
The River’s Edge Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Wyandotte a stones throw from the Detroit River. Additional local artists are well represented at the Rivers Edge. The first floor currently contains numerous works by artist Audrey Pongracz and Detroit art icon Niagara. The gallery’s third floor features the working studios of painter Jeremy Hansen and fine art photographer Patricia Izzo.
