Party pics: the Blueprint at Emagine Royal Oak
Detroit Fashion Week 2011 was officially kicked off at the Blueprint launch event at the Emagine/Star Lanes complex in Royal Oak. Highlighting the evening were fashion shows by Detroit clothing company UNEEK and the Sianna Treece Collection. Entertainment was provided by R&B singer Naythan Smith, the ever-acrobatic Lady Fuchsia and an on-runway makeover by VIP Salon. All the while, the energetic ladies of Detroit’s own Chive Talkin keep the evenings proceedings moving.
Other events for the 7th Detroit Fashion Week include a charity action at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market Sept. 22, a student design showcase and party at Willys Overland Lofts on Sept. 23 and a designer showcase at the Detroit Main Public Library Sept. 24.
