To celebrate the virtual society created by public networks like Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare, Mashable.com (@mashable) teamed up with Livio Radio (@livioradio)and the MotorCity Casino (@motorcitycasino) for the second annual Social Media Day (#smday).

While there, we ran into Livio Radio's @jakesigal, @NWLife and @jamieFavazza, Margarita Barry of @iamyoungdetroit, Mark W. Smith (@markdubya) of @freep, PR pro and social media strategist Nikki Stephan (@nikkistephan), @LaurenWeber84 and many more. Prizes were awarded, a Coney bar was available, music was played, status messages were updated and Tweets were sent.
