The 2nd annual Southern Ontario Wine & Food Festival was held last weekend across the river at the Windsor Expo Centre. Featuring a plethora of live music, 13 of Windsor's top eateries and local and national wine vendors, the event's promoter Stuart Galloway told Metromix this year's event not only was larger in scope, but it basically doubled in size from the first year it was held.
Considering that just about anything and everything was available -- like Italian, Chinese, Greek, Thai, Caribbean, sushi, ribs and lamb -- hungry people had plenty of great cuisine to sample. With sounds from some of Canada's finest, including the Bomb Squad, Nemesis, Lynne & the Rebels, and the Big Wiggle band, the event was a great way to kick off spring in the W.
