Targeted for the 21-and-up crowd, the block party, which was last held around 1995, raises funds for local charities like EMIY, Inc. (an inner-city youth enrichment organization), the GirlFriend Network (encourages females spiritually) and Superstar Inc. (a non-profit dedicated to lowering the urban school dropout rate).
