Niagara's 'War Paint' at Re:View Contemporary Gallery
World-renown artist and musician Niagara was at Detroit’s Re:View Contemporary Gallery Saturday for the opening reception of “WAR PAINT,” Niagara’s first solo show in Detroit in nearly seven years. The gallery featured two halls dedicated to Niagara’s works. The new series of paintings in the north hall are influenced by World War II, while the south hall hosted a mix of new works and classic Niagara pieces alongside an impressive collection of Niagara merchandise. The artist was on hand to greet her fans and well-wishers during the opening reception and could be found mingling with guests in the halls or on the gallery’s spacious outdoor patio. “WAR PAINT” runs through August 4th.
