New Center Park opening weekend
The New Center Council held a four-day kick off for New Center Park, a substitute for Detroit's Cityfest. The opening weekend served as the first series of the summer-long event and featured food, a bar and free entertainment. In the upcoming months, Wednesdays will serve as movie nights, Thursdays will be happy hour with jazz and blues, Fridays will be rock and electronic music, Saturdays will be full of kids stuff and Sundays will be music with a harvest market.
