6. Visit the Rivera Court Inside the DIA
The Rivera Court at the Detroit Institute of Arts is home to Mexican muralist Diego Rivera’s (1886-1957) awe-inspiring “Detroit Industry” murals. The frescoes envelop visitors with depictions of industry, technology and factory workers, along with more naturalistic imagery. The DIA website calls it “the finest example of Mexican mural art in the United States.”
