Motor City Movement at the Crofoot
Motor City Movement took over Pontiac’s historic Crofoot Ballroom for the fourth edition of its elaborate dance showcase. The event, titled Motor City Movement: A Collaboration of Choreographers, was launched in 2010. It featured over 20 local and nationally recognized choreographers and dance crews. The evening’s performances highlighted an eclectic mix of dances styles including tap, hip-hop, ballet, jazz and even Tahitian acts. Notable local acts included the Detroit Piston Dancers, the Davenport University Dance Team, the Detroit Dolls and Fynul Destination. Local news personality Heather Zara hosted the evening’s proceedings while DJ Dustin Alexander gave the audience a reason to dance between the inspiring performances.
