Marche du Nain Rouge
Sunday, March 21 marked the 300th anniversary of La Marche du Nain Rouge, a once annual Detroit tradition dating all the way back to when French settlers founded our fair city. To celebrate, a Mardi Gras-styled parade and carnival-inspired festivities filled the streets of the Cass Corridor -- where participants followed the motto "Do not come as you are. Come as you once were or yet could be" -- to drive out that little red devil long associated with the D.
