If the first three years of Detroit River Days were about connecting residents to downtown's revitalized riverfront, this year's version was about celebrating the area's long maritime history, the city's culture and its unique environment. Kicking off Friday and coming to an explosive conclusion Monday with the 52nd annual Target Fireworks show, the event's programming still had plenty of rides, carnival food and entertainment, including headlining sets by MC Hammer, the Spin Doctors, Lonestar, and the Blues Traveler.
