1st Detroit Comedy Classic
The atmosphere was filled with laughter at the 1st Annual Detroit Comedy Classic at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. The show featured Shanie D, Black Barry, Horace HB Sanders and Mike Bonner, all home-grown Detroit talent.
Black Barry, the host for the night, started the show out with a bang as he dazzled the crowd with his new-school comedy. Shanie D. represented the female perspective with her brutally honest sense of humor. Sanders brought the family-friendly charm, and Mike, the veteran, closed the show with his great stage presence and command of the
crowd.
Inside the theater, the crowd enjoyed food for thought from the comedians, while outside in the beautiful rotunda, they dined on free appetizers.
